Fundraising & Development Associate (Volunteer)
Fundraising & Development Associate (Volunteer)
Volunteer position, flexible/self-paced — with a plan of transitioning to a part-time or full-time paid role-
In 1904, Quaker chocolate-maker Joseph Rowntree founded his trusts on a simple conviction: charity that treats symptoms changes little, while funding aimed at "underlying causes of weakness or evil in the community" changes everything. AEEI carries that same conviction into economy — we're not patching over an unjust system, we're working to rebuild it at the root. As our Fundraising & Development Associate, you won't just be raising money. You'll be raising the kind of money that funds root-cause work.
You will:
Develop and help implement AEEI's fundraising strategy across Quaker and non-Quaker sources
Cultivate donor and funder relationships, and draft grant proposals and funding appeals
Track and report on fundraising progress to AEEI's team
We're looking for:
Interest in ethical economy reform and/or Quaker values
Fundraising or nonprofit development experience, or strong transferable skills
Ability to work independently, at a self-directed pace, with a remote team
To apply: send a short note about yourself and your interest in the role to office@aeeinst.org
