AM Stewardship Support Associate (Volunteer)
Volunteer, as much or as little as you're able to give (or it might grow into something more lasting, even paid, over time)
Why this matters
Trustees and treasurers of many Area Meetings across Britain are currently facing questions about how to navigate their investment arrangements in light of Britain Yearly Meeting's own move away from its previous investment manager, often without the time, expertise, or capacity to navigate a transition on their own. As Christine Davis wrote in Quaker faith & practice, stewardship of our resources calls for real "knowledge of what our money does." AEEI exists to serve Area Meetings and their local climate/environment working groups in this discernment, and in acting on it.
You will:
Help organise communication with Area Meeting bodies, and local climate & peace working groups who share this concern
We're looking for:
A genuine commitment to Quaker testimonies and an interest in activism around climate, armaments, and conflict-related concerns
Comfortable reaching out to people and organising conversations
No background in economics required
Whatever time you can give — a few hours now and then is welcome
To apply: send a short note about yourself and your interest in the role to office@aeeinst.org.
We'd love to find you soon.
